The newly-built lodge on Chundu Island in the Zambezi River upstream from Victoria Falls is ready and waiting to welcome its first guests on 1st November 2017!
The island, which is located 21kms upstream from the Victoria Falls, is accessible only by boat from the Zambezi National Park mainland. Eight spacious palm thatched suites, with their own private deck, are nestled beneath magnificent riverine trees overlooking the Zambezi. A large, central, decked bar/living/dining area faces towards the sunset, and in the dry season, overlooks the island’s own, private beach.
This is a place for peace and privacy – a birdlover’s paradise in a wildlife setting. The island is only 1.4kms long but offers a varied habitat – from a seasonal beach and flooded marshes to lush wetlands and open grasslands.
Chundu Island is ideally positioned to allow guests to experience Africa in its purest state, peaceful, serene and beautiful, yet within easy reach of the excitement and adventure of the Victoria Falls and its town.
For bookings, contact Chundu Island. We are longing to hear from the first visitors….. so please send in your Travel Reviews HERE!
