Changa Safari camp is nestled in the heart of the famed Matusadona National Park on the shores of Lake Kariba. The private concession wherein the camp lies, overlooks a scenic view, spanning the 4.5 km lake’s shore.
Sixty solar panels have been installed throughout the camp, integrating Changa with its natural environment by harnessing the power of the sun. With abundant Kariba sunshine, the camp can now make full use of its natural resources to operate.
The system generates enough power to run the entire camp. By implementing this system, the camp has not only cut significant costs, but it has also opted for a means of operating that is sustainable and will go a long way in minimising the impact of the camp on the local environment.
