The amazing thing about the Victoria Falls is that there is just so much to do when you are there, it is almost mind boggling. The Falls themselves require a good two hours of any visitor’s time to do them justice and that is just a walk along one side, ideally you should cross the bridge and see the Falls from the other side of the river as well.

“Mind Boggling”

You may be of the opinion that “they are just the same Falls” – NO the Falls are 1.7 kilometers wide and each view point delivers new and unique views and photo options. If you have traveled all this way to see the Falls then you really should see them from both sides. Even when the water level is so low in October and November you should look to cross to the Zambian side to walk out across the Face of the Falls to swim in the pools of water on the edge of the Falls ( Devil’s and Angel’s Pools ) or visit the Livingstone Island.

“Two nights is not enough”

If your travel agent tries to persuade you that a two night stay in Victoria Falls will be plenty – then please remember the list below. There are activities to suit all ages, pockets, adventure lovers and not. There are also new foodie options with new Cafes and Restaurant that include the Lookout Café and the Floating Dinner on the Zambezi Explorer. You need a minimum of two full days in Victoria Falls which means at least three nights and that is if you are in a rush. If you are the type of person who needs a little time to settle in and likes to try restaurants and shopping as well as fitting in the best activities then – You need one more night so stay for four.

“Also look at crossing the river to enjoy some activities on the other side”

The fact that the Univisa has been in use and will be again soon means that even for those of you that need a visa the options for activities now easily includes a trip across to Zambia to enjoy some of the many activities that can be done from that side of the river as well. This once again increases the reason to stay more than two nights. The time it takes to cross the border is much less if you do not need to get a visa in fact it will most likely take just 15 minutes.
