The airline will begin flights direct from Doha to Lusaka-Zambia in 2017 flying the route three times per week and will introduce flights from Doha to Windhoek-Namibia,four times per week, as early as September this year 2016.
This comes at a time when Southern African tourism in the Zambesia region, is on a charge to increase direct air access into the region. Currently the majority of tourists and business travelers access Zambia and the Southern African countries just North of South Africa via OR Tambo which is the main hub of intercontinental flights in South Africa. This means that some extra travelling miles are required and time taken up with the stop over.
Qatar will also be increasing their service into other African centers further in the coming months and years.
