New Steam Train Experience for Victoria Falls
Bushtracks Africa have announced the introduction of a steam train project on the Zimbabwe side of the Victoria Falls.
The “Victoria Falls Bridge Run” on the “Bushtracks Express” will begin on the 1st of March 2016.
The product will run as a schedule departing on the basis of two confirmed people, every Tuesday and Friday each trip will include pre dinner drinks and canapés. The train will depart from and return to the Victoria Falls Station, which is adjacent to the Victoria Falls Hotel, at around 1700 depending on the time of year. The train will return to the station after sunset allowing the guests time to make their way to dinner elsewhere in Victoria Falls.
The train will be made available for charters and private functions for groups on alternative evenings. The capacity of the train is 80 people and seating is provided in a variety of air-conditioned carriages which have been restored and dressed by renowned train expert Rowan Voss.
Bushtracks Africa currently run a luxury steam train service on the Zambian side of the river, in combination with the Royal Livingstone Hotel. This product is known as the Royal Livingstone Express and includes a full seven course meal, and is a scheduled departure on every Wednesday and Saturday.
