Zambezi Explorer has recently undertaken the project of refurbishing their 4th vessel, Ma Robert. Ma Robert has been cruising the mighty Zambezi River for nearly 20 years now and has seen more Zimbabwean sunsets than most.
The name Ma Robert was derived from the the original paddle streamer used by David Livingstone on his second expedition in 1858 to the Zambezi region. Livingstone named the paddle streamer “Ma Robert” in honor of his wife, Mary, mother of their first born son, Robert.
The 3 month refurbishment project is expected to take a further month to complete and will see this boat transform into the majestic river cruiser that she is, whilst keeping that historic touch and feel.
Similar to her sister Vessel, the Zambezi Explorer, Ma Robert will be offering a differentiated cruise experience, at a very competitive rate.
