Proflight Zambia and Shoprite staff celebrate their ticket saleTravellers can now by Proflight Zambia plane tickets at 23 Shoprite stores across the country under a new sales agreement between the two companies.
The deal adds convenience by enabling shoppers to book and pay for flights along with their groceries at supermarkets. This is particularly convenient in places such as Solwezi, Chipata, Kabwe and Kasama where there are no Proflight offices and no IATA travel agents to purchase tickets from but there is a Shoprite store.
“Combined with Proflight’s super-low fares, flying has now become accessible to people from all walks of life across the country,” said Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs Captain Philip Lemba. “Paying for a plane ticket is now as simple as popping to Shoprite to do your weekly shopping.”
Shoprite Zambia General Manager Charles Bota said: “Both Shoprite and Proflight Zambia strive to offer their customers the best value for money and the most convenience, so it is a natural fit for us  to join forces and offer this great new service.”
Shoprite customers can book and pay for any flights to one of Proflight’s destinations: Lusaka, Ndola, Livingstone, Mfuwe, Ndola, Solwezi, Kasama, Lubumbashi or Lilongwe.
