Anchor Environmental Consultants* on behalf of Environmental Resource Management (ERM) are conducting a tourism study as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment being carried out for the planned Batoka Gorge Dam, downstream of Victoria Falls. The purpose of the tourism business survey is to collect as much information as possible that will help Anchor Environmental to assess the impact of the dam on tourism businesses in both Livingstone and Victoria Falls.
Anchor staff will be interviewing a wide range of locally based tourism businesses in Vic Falls from Wed 4 – Friday 6 February 2015 and in Livingstone from Mon 9 – Wed 11 February 2015. The interviews will involve answering questions relating to services offered, clientele, business turnover and seasonality. They are hoping to interview a range of business types – restaurants, shops, hotels, lodges, tour operators etc. If you have not yet been contacted for an interview and are interested in participating in the study then please contact Gwyneth Letley (details below) for more information and to schedule an interview.
