ZAMBIA’S members of parliament this afternoon clash against their Zimbabwean counterparts in a football and netball tournament to be held in Livingstone.
According to the National Assembly, the Zambian team will be captained by Shiwang’andu member of parliament Stephen Kapyongo, who is also home affairs deputy minister.
According to the statement, the tournament is aimed at enhancing the bilateral and parliamentary relationships between the two countries.
“The National Assembly of Zambia will host a friendly sports tournament between parliamentarians from Zambia and Zimbabwe. The games will involve football and netball and will be held in Livingstone at the Victoria Falls Zesco Club on Sunday 13th July, 2014 at 13:00 hours,” it stated.
