ruckomechi campThe wildlife-rich Parachute Pan is situated about 400m from the main camp. The sleep-out offers guests an intimate wilderness experience while sleeping under the stars in the Zambezi Valley.

The natural pan on the edge of the Zambezi flood plain attracts a variety of wildlife and sightings from the deck include elephant, buffalo, zebra, and waterbuck. Lion, leopard and wild dog have also been seen at the pan.

An outdoor suite will be set up on the deck, complete with comfortable bed, mosquito net, sitting area and a flush toilet. A qualified guide will stay in a tent nearby to ensure the guests’ safety at all times.

Ruckomechi Camp lies on the banks of the Zambezi River and comprises ten en-suite tents. It is situated within the only private-use concession in Mana Pools National Park, offering guests exclusive access to a stretch of the Zambezi River. Activities include wildlife viewing in open 4×4 vehicles, on motorised pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes.
