The end of this year will see the opening of 6 deluxe Victoria Falls Safari Suites(VFSS). In a spacious, lush, bush garden environment, the Safari Suites offer 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom suites, each with a spacious lounge and a splendid veranda area ideal for close knit-groups or families. Surrounded by 80,000 hectares of unspoiled wilderness, adjacent to Zambezi National Park, the suites will offer a private and stylish comfort with opportunities to view free-roaming wildlife that tend to gather near the resort’s on-site waterhole. With upmarket opulence in a spacious, private setting, the Safari Suites will capture a portion of the market that has not yet been addressed in this region.
AAT’s flagship property, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge (VFSL), will in January 2015 undergo a refurbishing exercise of all 72 rooms . Emphasis is being put on modernisation and tastefulness. Rooms will be furnished in soft natural colours and fashioned with provisions for greater natural light a core factor of design and state of the art bathrooms setting the overall tone. This investment will certainly reassert the appeal of this exceptional lodge in one of the worlds’ most remarkable places.
With the group’s intensive investments coming to the fore in the coming months, the portfolio of properties will be in good standing to benefit from the increase in tourism arrivals to the region.
The new Victoria Falls Safari Club (VFSC) has garnered a strong following with robust occupancy rates and was recently honoured by the Association of Zimbabwe Travel Agents awards (AZTA) as Best New Property as well as Best Boutique Hotel. Lokuthula Lodges collected Best Self-catering Property and VFSL was first runner up for the Green/Conservation Award.
VFSL continues to hold its market leader position, winning the prestigious Best Safari Lodge award for the 18th consecutive year at the same awards.
