The online news site www.victoriafalls24.com has launched a directory www.vicfalls24.com  that enables operators in the region to list themselves and post information about their product.

The directory is unique in that it allows visitors to the directory ( accessing the directory online from anywhere in the world ) to make direct contact online with the operator. The visitor will be confident due the operator’s listing that they are on the ground in the region. Direct communication will be conducted using a “live chat” system or through typical social media messaging systems and alerts provided by the directory.

Whether the operator is a Hotel, activity supplier, restaurant or shop the option of being able to liaise directly with the online public that are drawn to the site looking for the latest news and information should boost the interest in the region as well as allow for more balanced information both from the public and from the operators on the ground.

The site is not set up to encourage potential visitors to book direct with the service providers but rather to obtain the latest information on the products on offer. Take for instance the fact that the White Water rafting available on the Zambezi river trips have changed from full day to half day trips due to the new water levels in the Zambezi that may have occurred in the last day or so..

The region of Victoria Falls including Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana will all be included in this directory which will be looking to sign up 100s of service providers in the run up to the UNWTO congress scheduled to be held in the resort towns of Livingstone and Victoria Falls in August this year.

The site will also be looking to work with the local authorities in all three of the countries as it is imperative that information from Immigration departments, Wildlife Authorities and other important Government bodies are included in the free flow of information for potential visitors to the region.
