An unfortunate end for 1time

Fastjet CEO, Ed Winter, has confirmed to Tourism Update that the airline is currently in talks to buy 1time Airline from its parent company subject to regulatory approvals by the 1time board and regulators.
Winter said the company would normally not make an announcement like this before a definite conclusion has been reached, but following widespread media reports Fastjet had decided to “break the silence”.
He further confirmed that should the buying-out process proceed favourably, 1time will be rebranded as Fastjet and that the airline would operate all the domestic routes operated by 1time, but that the airline would also look at rapid regional expansion.
He said he hoped to have operations up and running in time for Christmas.  He also confirmed that Fastjet hoped to keep many of 1time’s former employees.
