The Batoka Hydro Power Station, a joint project between Zimbabwe and Zambia will take off next month with the World Bank as a partner. A spokesperson for the Zambezi River Authority which owns the project, Elizabeth Karonga, said the World Bank has already come on board, adding that another environmental impact assessment programme will soon be done before the project takes off. Karonga said the Zambezi River Authority was in Livingstone with prospective contractors to build an access road on the Zambian side.
