Wild Frontiers Zimbabwe has announced that Pioneers Camp, a new luxury camp on the Zambezi River at the Victoria Falls, will open in December.

The camp will be permanent, and is located 17 kilometres from Victoria Falls town, inside the Upper Zambezi National Park. The original site is well documented as a resting point for early explorers and pioneers of the 1900s.

The camp has 1.5 kilometres of river frontage and will host six tents, designed to take full advantage of the river views. The camp will also host a central lounge and dining area with a library, and games for children. It will be solar-powered and eco-friendly.

Activities will include game drives, boating, fishing, sunset cruises, bird-watching, community projects, canoeing and bush walks. The camp will also offer a daily shuttle into town for activities.

The camp will be ideal for small corporate groups or ‘think tanks’. Fly-in safaris are available.
