The 20-room Victoria Falls Safari Club Wing is set to open this month after a US$2,7million expansion project. Local materials such as thatch, gum poles, stone and sand have been used in the construction of the wing, which incorporates an ‘Induna’ theme, depicting the story of Zimbabwe’s notorious chiefs.

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, flagship property of the Africa Albida Tourism group (AAT) had a pre-club opening revamp in June and management of the lodge expressed hope that this would make the experience of visitors even more memorable. The property can now handle larger conferences and incentive groups of up to 150.

Glen Byrom, Founder of Victoria Falls destination management company, Green Route, predicted that the new 20-room luxury wing of The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge would be the catalyst within the Victoria Falls area: “The Club will be the most exclusive and pampered address in town with butler service, rooms 50% larger than the current lodge’s and a great location.”
