HARARE (Papers) Air Namibia made its maiden direct flight from Windhoek to Harare yesterday when it’s Embraer ERJ-135 landed at Harare International Airport at 1125 hours
The airline, which also offers direct flights daily between Windhoek and Victoria Falls, becomes the 12th airline to introduce flights to Harare. On arrival, the 37-seater single-class plane which had 22 paying customers on board, received the traditional water cannon salute reserved for planes making their inaugural flights into the country. The plane returned with 18 paying customers. The airline has plans to introduce a 112-seater A319.
