The fourth session of the CEOs Roundtable will officially open in Victoria Falls today. Delegates started arriving in the resort town yesterday ahead of the official opening by Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara. KM Solutions business development manager Patridge Sibanda said they expected more people to arrive today and tomorrow.
We know there are some events, but that should not conflict with things.Besides today is a golf day. There are people we are expecting who have gone to Chiadzwa for the Prime Ministers tour, but they will be coming, he said.
Sibanda said they were expecting 200 delegates from the region to attend including Comesa secretary-general Sindiso Ngwenya.
The CEOs Roundtable is a grouping of private sector players. It will discuss and explore the $100 billion economy initiative.
Besides Mutambara, Information Communication Technology minister Nelson Chamisa, Investment Promotion minister Tapiwa Mashakada and Tourism and Hospitality Industry minister Walter Mzembi, complete a high-profile government delegation to the conference.
Others attending the event are Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce president Oswald Binha, Fidelity Life Assurance managing director Simon Chapereka, Securities Commission of Zimbabwe chief executive officer Tafadzwa Chinamo, Harambe Holdings managing director David Govere, Nyaradzo chief executive officer Phillip Mataranyika, Kingdom Financial Holdings chief executive Nigel Chanakira and Deposit Protection Board managing director John Chikura.
