Nicknamed the school with a view – as there are commanding views of “the smoke that thunders” from here – Mwandi Community School’s aim is to become a Basic School so it can teach up to Grade 9. At present it is only allowed to teach up to Grade 7.

The nearest Basic School in the Mwandi area is about 5km away which means that approximately 500 children have to walk to further their education.

To help Mwandi School become a Basic School, they need to build two additional 1 x 2 classroom blocks. We want to help them achieve their dream and plan to start building the first classroom as soon as possible!

As with everything – there is always a price tag – the cost of one 1 x 2 classroom is approximately $25,000. If you would like to make a donation please click here. Your support will be much appreciated by the children, teachers and the community alike.
