• UNICA moves into INCOME GENERATING PROJECTS to sustain its programmes – United Children of Africa (UNICA) a registered community Trust working with vulnerable children and youth in Victoria Falls urban and Hwange rural is venturing into income generating activities to sustain its programmes and help children in need. We have launched our second income generating project, The Golden Bakery at Mkhosana Shopping Center in collaboration with one of the best pastry and confectionery chefs in the region. This is the second venture after our grinding mills project in Victoria Falls rural serving hundreds of children from walking long distances to access grinding mill services and absconding classes. The Golden Bakery, a project of UNICA creates a pleasant in-store atmosphere and provides knowledgeable and friendly customer service. Our bakery includes something for every occasion and every taste, from cakes to doughnuts to pastries. We provide excellent and quality baked products for busy people who crave both freshness and convenience.

Operation of Hope is a 23 year old foundation and has performed more than 3,000 free surgeries in people in need. Consisting of all volunteers, this surgical team has been in Zimbabwe since 2006 and

has performed more than 550 free surgeries at NO cost to the patient and their families.   If you know of someone in need of cleft surgery, please bring have them bring all pertaining medical records on Screening

• BUSHTRACKS ZIMBABWE SEEKS OPERATIONS MANAGER -Experienced operations manager required to be based in Victoria Falls with experience in tourism specifically at operational manager level. The job will be specifically managing vehicles, boats, booking & coordinating activities. Strong office skills are needed to co-ordinate a fleet of vehicles and approved sub contractors. Someone who has a proven, successful track record of managing guides and staff who is also proficient in dealing with HR issues and regulations. The operations manager will ensure staffs are always fully trained, up to standard in customer care skills, guiding knowledge, as well as abiding by the safety policies of the organization in regards to their driving and guiding practises. The manager will also need to prepare the department budget and ensure that spending is kept within limits and be able to process simple book keeping.

The Operations manager must have written and verbal communications skills to deal with customer complaints and be able to effectively supervise others. Asset Management especially in regards to Fuel control

and the ordering of spares and stock controls is essential.

Management skills such as budgeting are an essential skill for the Operations manager. The Operations manager must have an understanding of the procedures and policies regarding the transport of clients in the

top end of the tourism industry and have at least three years management experience and three years tourism experience. The operations manager also needs to have detailed product knowledge of Zimbabwe’s
